Breakwall Pictures, LLC is an American film production company founded in 2008 by brothers Daniel and Jeremy Kuhlman.
Based in Los Angeles and Chicago, we are a one-stop shop for film and project development and production.
For nearly two decades, Breakwall has compiled a network of highly-skilled, experienced and professional filmmakers, Crew and actors from the Midwest to the West Coast.
In colaboration with our industry partners, our films have screened at top-rated festivals, including The Cannes Film Festival, SXSW London, Tallinn Black Nights, SITGES, Frightfest London, Chicago Underground, and numerous others.

DANIEL KUHLMAN
Co-Founder and CEO. Daniel is a producer, screenwriter, actor, director, and proud alumnus of the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama whose career spans more than twenty years. In addition to his work as an actor, his producer, writer and director credits include: Rose White (producer / director / writer), which won the Audience Choice Award at the 2012 Chicago Underground Film Festival, Thanks Mom (producer / director / writer) Best Short Nominee at the 2011 Chicago Underground Film Festival, When It Drops (writer) Final Draft Big Break Contest: Finalist, Crook County (writer) Final Draft Big Break Contest: Semi-Finalist. Daniel also co-wrote Red Light – Proof of Concept (2020) with director Alexa Kahuam, which premiered at the SITGES Film Festival and was awarded Best Film by Horror Fest International. He was associate producer on the film Failure!, which screened at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. Daniel was also the producer, executive producer and writer of The Remedy, which screened at the Cannes Film Festival - Fantastic Pavilion and had its world premiere at SXSW London.
ALEXA ORTEGA
President of Worldwide Sales. Alexa is an executive producer, actor, and professional speaker with years of experience in the industry. Growing up in the Philippines, her television and film career began at an early age. Her television credits include: Are You The Next Big Star a nationally-televised singing show, in which she was a Top-Five Finalist, and Nickelodeon Asia, in which she was a host for two years. Her theater credits include Nina in In The Heights, Dorothy in The Wiz, and Aida in Aida. Most recently, she served as Executive Producer for the psychological supernatural horror film The Remedy, which had its world premiere at SXSW London in 2026.
JEREMY KUHLMAN
Co-founder and CFO. Jeremy is a producer, cinematographer and screenwriter who has worked extensively in theatrical, documentary, music video and commercial production. He is also a highly-trained and experienced photographer, whose portfolio includes shots from locations as remote as the mountains of Utah to the coast of New Zealand. His Director of Photography credits include: Rose White (2012), Thanks Mom (2010), Jacob In The Wilderness (2009), and Icelantic Boards Documentary (2009). He has also produced and shot music videos for numerous bands, including “The Charlie Hapner Band,” “Stairway Denied” and “Reeple Jar.” Most recently, he served as an Executive Producer for The Remedy, which premierd in 2026.
BRYCE TAYLOR
Head of Development. Bryce is a writer, director, producer and dancer. Born and raised in Miami, FL, he is an alumnus of Carnegie Mellon University with a B.A. in Creative Writing. Balancing an extensive dance career through which he has performed in Las Vegas, Toronto, New York City, Costa Mesa, and other North American cities, he has also written, directed, and produced a variety of stage and screen projects. His credits include: Water White and Black (writer, director, producer) Filmmaking@CMU Film Festival - Audience Choice Award, Mural, A Jackson Pollock Story (playwright), Out of Courage 2 (executive producer) Filmmaking@CMU Film Festival - Audience Choice Award, The Invisible (writer, director, producer) Filmmaking@CMU Film Festival - Judges Choice Award, and Being James Dean (director). Bryce was also an executive producer and story consultant on the feature film The Remedy, which screened at the Cannes Film Festival and premiered at SXSW London in 2026.
JESSICA THOMAS
Creative Consultant. Jessica Thomas is the Founder and Principal of JetSetIca Productions – the parent company to her diverse brand portfolio, including The Social Dance Network and Blue Canary Sales – and brings her extensive background as an entrepreneur, performer, and visual artist to her role as Creative Consultant. Operating at the intersection of movement and sound, Jessica is a bi-coastal singer-songwriter with over 40 independent titles, an accomplished model, and a theater veteran whose choreography credits include major productions like Man of La Mancha and Fiddler on the Roof, ranging from regional community theater to Off-Off-Broadway. A multi-time award-winning professional ballroom educator with 15 years of elite industry experience, she utilizes her unique understanding of pacing, business strategy, and artistic composition to influence a film’s early development and cultivate its visual storytelling.
